day 02 - tcm workshop with denys | sleep soundly - november
about the series
sleep soundly is a two-part multi-modal sleep hygiene series designed to cultivate rest, mindfulness, and connection to ones body for women & gender diverse people of colour.
about tcm
traditional chinese medicine (tcm) is a holistic healing system that dates back over 3,000 years. it views the body as an interconnected whole—linking physical, mental, and emotional health—rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, practices such as acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, herbal medicine, nutrition, and qigong all fall under the umbrella of tcm. each modality aims to restore balance to the body’s vital energy, known as qi.
day 02 with denys gamotin
explore herbs and tea-making through the lens of traditional chinese medicine. together, we’ll uncover your body constitution, learn the foundations of five element theory, and discover the basics of food and herb energetics. after a sensory exploration of the herbs, you’ll craft your own medicinal tea blend, tailored to you.
we’ll open with a gentle qi gong practice to arrive in the body, and close with a mindful steeping ritual to savour what you’ve made.
